Over the past six years I have been working on a series of ‘found lanscapes’. These paintings and collages, made on antique wallpaper, theatrical backdrops, postcards and photographs, create a deliberate disjunct between figure and ground. The imagery, mostly of young men seduced and in some cases dominated by their environments, reflects my interest in the ways gender difference is projected onto nature.
